Today we are proud to announce the early-access launch of RiboClean™ dsDNase and RiboCleave™ 1, its first enzymes developed specifically for RNA therapeutics manufacturing and analysis. The launch coincides with the opening of the 33rd ESGCT Annual Congress at the Congress Centre Hamburg, Germany (27–30 October 2026).
As RNA therapeutics advance toward commercial-scale manufacturing, improving process efficiency, reducing costs and simplifying analytical workflows are becoming increasingly important. ArcticZymes' two new enzymes address these challenges at critical stages of RNA manufacturing and quality analysis.
RiboClean™ dsDNase can be integrated directly into existing IVT workflows without additional buffer or calcium and is modeled to reduce nuclease costs per batch by more than 80%. RiboClean™ dsDNase delivered comparable DNA-removal performance to reference DNase I while using 10 x fewer units, corresponding to a 40-fold reduction in DNase protein mass added to the IVT workflow. Despite using 10 times fewer enzyme units than DNase I, RiboClean™ dsDNase showed no detectable difference in RNA integrity or yield under the tested conditions.
RiboCleave™ 1 simplifies sample preparation steps for mRNA cap-efficiency analysis by replacing a multistep RNase H-based workflow with a single sequence-specific digestion. Without requiring guide oligonucleotides, the enzyme reduces sample preparation time from approximately six hours to 30 minutes, while remaining compatible with existing analytical readout methods. This streamlined approach is modeled to reduce total assay costs by more than 80%.
"RNA has proven it works. The challenge our customers now face is making it faster, simpler and more cost-effective to develop and manufacture,” said Michael B. Akoh, CEO of ArcticZymes Technologies. “The launch of RiboClean dsDNase and RiboCleave 1 demonstrates how we are delivering on our strategy to diversify our product portfolio and expand into new markets, while applying our proven enzyme expertise to deliver measurable improvements for our customers.”
Both products are available to order now through ArcticZymes’ open early-access program. Visit ArcticZymes at ESGCT booth number D-06, click to visit our RNA enzymes landing page, or contact support@arcticzymes.com to find out more.
